Yara Greyjoy rocks! What Westeros house are you?
notice how it says ” Bronx, Riverdale” as to not confuse the reader that this COULD be located in one of those “not so posh” areas of the Bronx. BRONX IS THE BRONX… that means you too Riverdenial, oh, I mean, Riverdale.
Bronx, Riverdale - This 15000 square foot mansion was built in 1928 for Jesus Christ, when he returns to earth, aka the Second Coming. Created by head of the New York Theological Society on 2.3 acres. No surprise, it is elaborately decorated, with marble floors imported from the Vatican, chandeliers acquired from the Plaza Hotel. In other words, this $15.5 million dollar home is fit for a king, or King.
Casting directors don’t see actors as actors; they see actors as a type. You can break down those stereotypes. It’s tough, but it can be done…You’re fighting against people’s minds, who have a set thing about what a Puerto Rican should do. - Raul Julia
When George Lucas was mixing the American Graffiti soundtrack, he numbered the reels of film starting with an R and numbered the dialog starting with a D. Sound designer Walter Murch asked George for Reel 2, Dialog 2 by saying “R2D2”. George liked the way that sounded so much he integrated that into another project he was working on.

Rob Lammle reached out to Animaniacs creator Tom Ruegger for help with a story. We ended up getting everything you’d ever want to know about the show.
If you were to spell out numbers, you would you have to go until 1,000 until you would find the letter “A”.
Guerra De La Paz
Using fabric as a medium is so relate-able and so unique. I was blown away by the portfolio of Guerra de la Paz; the images I’ve decided to share here don’t even show all of the remarkable things this artist has accomplished. The series dealing with army clothing is very politically, socially, and even religiously charged, asking the viewer to really examine the “purpose” and implications of wars. I love the re-creation and modern twist of Michelangelo’s “Pieta” sculpture. The rainbow sculpture is eye-catching and impressive as well. I found some really inspiring work by this artist today and I’m overall very pleased. Check out their website!

Ana Mendieta - Alma Silueta en Feugo
Regina José Galindo (Guatemala, b. 1974) is one of the most radical performance artists in Latin America today. Her work is inspired by the performances of body-oriented artists of the 1960s and 1970s such as Marina Abramović, Chris Burden, Orlan and Gina Pane. She uses her own body to test her mental and physical limits adding to her works the social context from which her artistic projects emerge.
This video includes an interview with her (in Spanish) and clips from some of her performance work. On Thursday, May 24, beginning at 7:00pm, she will present the premiere performance of her work titled Third World, which was commissioned by MOLAA during the opening night of her exhibition Vulnerable.
Vulnerable, curated by Idurre Alonso will be composed of some performance related objects, videos documenting some of the most significant performances by Galindo, as well as the stage and documentary video of Third World.

This is an idea that has been floating around in my head for a few months, and for obvious reasons, I got around to realising it this weekend.
Each dot represents one word of the song. The colours represent who is saying that word.
Sometimes, I’m asked if there are prints of my work available; I don’t normally do that sort of thing, but on the off-chance that you would like a print of this graphic, I’m providing a hi-res TIFF (254 x 321 mm / 10 x 12.6 inches; zipped file; 18.1MB) that you can download and have printed.
You don’t have to pay for it—-I certainly don’t want to profit from it-—but if you do want to download and print it, it would be nice if you would consider donating something to a cancer charity.
Here are some links to cancer charities in different countries.
If your home country is not listed, and you want to donate, just do some Googlin’,
and do it that way (and if you do do that, please email me (craig AT flipflopflyin DOT com)
and let me know which charity you used, and I can add it to the list.)
“Alan Belcher has produced new work for this exhibition, a ceramic multiple edition. Known for his pioneering of the “photo-object_ genre (artworks which fused the disciplines of photography and sculpture); he has furthered that exploration with a multiple series of what can be seen as perhaps the ultimate “photo-object”. Belcher has taken the ephemeral nature of the universal jpeg, and solidified its default icon into a standard image surrogate. The edition entitled “______.jpg” was fabricated in China, is a series of 125 pieces each signed and dated.” 25 Years of Talent at Marianne Boesky Gallery, curated by Michelle Grabner May 2 - Jun 16, 2012.
